Class 1 Driver - Days
Location: Gloucester
Shifts: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00/20:00
Pay Rate: £16 per hour
We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a well-established automotive logistics provider based in Gloucester. This is a Monday to Friday day role with no weekend work, offering consistent routes and a stable working schedule.
Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding andamp; Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries (typically 8-10 drops per shift)
- Transport mixed goods, including caged and palletised loads
- Safely load and unload vehicles when required
- Assist warehouse operations, including moving cages and using pump trucks for pallets
- Return empty cages from delivery locations as needed
- Deliver goods across the Southwest and South Wales regions
- Work with a drivers'' mate when required
- Occasionally undertake Class 2 duties when necessary (paid at Class 1 rate)
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) HGV licence
- Previous experience in general haulage and multi-drop deliveries preferred
- Willingness to support warehouse operations as part of a team
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Ability to work flexibly to meet operational needs
